Day 5145
Day 5145 in Seahaven Springs, under sunny skies. Rex Callahan has decided to let bygones be bygones. Wren Gorse has decided to let bygones be bygones. Nell Tidewater was born to Mabel Tidewater and Dell Tanner. Nothing bad ever happens here — but something is always going on. Word of an Inspection takes a turn. Goodnight, Truman. In case we don't see you: good afternoon, good evening, and goodnight.

25Wren Gorse's evening happened, ran long, and is still being talked about.
21Whatever Cole Whitlow and Mabel Tidewater were circling, they have landed on it.

00The rain has driven everyone indoors, and the café is doing the best trade of the week.
00The photocopier at Seahaven Mutual is making the noise again. Kip Doyle has been elected to deal with it.
55Truman Beaumont tidies what was already tidy. Elaine Whitlow hides one item, on instinct.
00The rain has cleared. A rainbow appeared at a frankly cinematic angle.
00Fern Gorse has arrived at the store without the list. This has happened before.
00Sunday supper is drawing the town toward The Salty Gull.
00A seagull has stolen Alma Callahan's sandwich near the dock. Again.
00The light over Seahaven Springs this evening is almost unreasonably good.
00Clouds drift in over the bay. The fishermen pretend not to enjoy it.
00A door that has been locked for as long as Truman Beaumont can remember was standing open this morning.
00A lighthouse postcard has been added to today's mail. Truman Beaumont collects them, and Control knows it.
00Faint harmonica music was heard from the dock. Everybody denies everything.
05Dell Tanner and Sal Marino kept their word and finished what they started.
00The sun breaks through over Seahaven Springs, precisely on cue.
