Day 5149
Day 5149 in Seahaven Springs, under cloudy skies. Bev Tanner has been discharged from Seahaven General and is right as rain. Abel Callahan is not currently speaking to Gil Ferris. Abel Callahan is cooling off in the Sheriff's holding cell after the business at The Anchor. Nothing bad ever happens here — but something is always going on. Word of an Inspection takes a turn. Goodnight, Truman. In case we don't see you: good afternoon, good evening, and goodnight.
OPEN THIS DAY IN THE BROADCASTWhat was announced
00:00Bev Tanner has been discharged from Seahaven General and is right as rain.
08:00A heron has taken up position at Miller's Pond and is refusing to be hurried.
08:35Whatever Fern Gorse and Opal Ferris were circling, they have landed on it.
09:00Marla Finch answered a question Truman Beaumont had not asked out loud.
09:00A lighthouse postcard has been added to today's mail. Truman Beaumont collects them, and Control knows it.
09:07Kip Doyle's evening happened, ran long, and is still being talked about.
10:00There is one more chair at The Anchor than there was yesterday. Rex has not mentioned it.
11:00The town cat is asleep on the Town Hall steps. Municipal business reroutes around it.
12:05Truman Beaumont tidies what was already tidy. Fern Gorse hides one item, on instinct.
13:00Rain has begun over Seahaven Springs. Umbrellas deployed with suspicious synchronization.
15:00The rain has driven everyone indoors, and the café is doing the best trade of the week.
15:00Dell Tanner called Truman Beaumont by the wrong name mid-sentence, then laughed a little too quickly.
17:00Business is slow enough that Gil Ferris has been sent home early. Nobody argues.
18:00An unclaimed umbrella has been standing by the café door for three days.
20:00The rain has cleared. A rainbow appeared at a frankly cinematic angle.
21:00The traveling garden gnome has been spotted on a new porch. Nobody admits to moving it.
21:56Edie Gorse has become extremely confident about lighthouse engineering.
22:00Clouds drift in over the bay. The fishermen pretend not to enjoy it.
22:00A face Truman Beaumont last saw years ago walked by wearing a different coat and a different life.
22:25Cass Tanner is teaching the room a song that appears to have no chorus.
22:30Cole Whitlow is conducting an imaginary orchestra near the dartboard.
23:00Commotion at The Anchor! Abel Callahan and Gil Ferris came to (very gentle) blows over an argument about the correct way to pronounce "buoy".
23:00Sheriff Brody has invited Abel Callahan to spend the night in the cells. Everyone agrees this is for the best.
