Day 5155
Day 5155 in Seahaven Springs, under sunny skies. The lights of Seahaven Springs flickered for exactly three seconds. The town clock is unbothered. Dot Ferris has closed the notebook on one small Seahaven mystery, satisfied for now. The queue at the bakery has reached the door. Nobody minds; it is that kind of queue. Nothing bad ever happens here — but something is always going on. The Leak at The Sunrise CafÉ takes a turn. Goodnight, Truman. In case we don't see you: good afternoon, good evening, and goodnight.

10:00An unclaimed umbrella has been standing by the café door for three days.
10:00Linus Tidewater nearly answered Truman Beaumont early, and turned it into a cough.
11:00A hedge has been trimmed one inch past a boundary. Diplomacy is under way.
11:00The same passer-by has now walked past Truman Beaumont three times on the same route.
11:00The radio in Truman Beaumont's kitchen has been persuaded to play his favourite song. He is singing along, badly.
12:00It is Wednesday lunch in Founders Park. Benches are being claimed diplomatically.
12:05Truman Beaumont declares the bucket temporary. Edie Gorse disagrees, fondly.
13:00Hal Brody called Truman Beaumont by the wrong name mid-sentence, then laughed a little too quickly.
14:00Rain has begun over Seahaven Springs. Umbrellas deployed with suspicious synchronization.
15:00Business is slow enough that Gil Ferris has been sent home early. Nobody argues.
15:00Truman Beaumont's radio caught the control room again. Perry Gorse turned the dial and talked loudly about the weather.
17:00The town ladder is on its fourth borrower this week and nobody is sure who owns it.
19:15Cass Tanner has finally had everyone round. Nobody left early.
20:22Dell Tanner and Sal Marino kept their word and finished what they started.

22:03Perry Gorse is teaching the room a song that appears to have no chorus.
22:05Bea Callahan offered to buy the room a drink, then checked a pocket.
22:13Milo Ferris has begun issuing compliments in alphabetical order.
22:20Cass Tanner has begun a heartfelt speech with no clear subject.
22:26Opal Ferris has sworn undying friendship to somebody met twenty minutes ago.
