Day 5166
Day 5166 in Seahaven Springs, under rainy skies. Bev Tanner has been released from the Sheriff's office with a stern word and a handshake. Edie Gorse is expecting a baby with Ewan Callahan. Ike Tidewater is in Seahaven General after they took a tumble off a stepladder while rescuing a kite. Nothing bad ever happens here — but something is always going on. The Loaf That Cannot Be Repeated reaches its conclusion. Goodnight, Truman. In case we don't see you: good afternoon, good evening, and goodnight.

07:01Milo Ferris is explaining boats to anyone who will listen down at The Anchor.
09:00There is one more chair at The Anchor than there was yesterday. Rex has not mentioned it.
09:20keeping a notebook about the pond has stopped being something Dot Ferris is trying, and become something they do.
10:44Ike Tidewater and Sal Marino no longer need a reason to call round.
11:00Clouds drift in over the bay. The fishermen pretend not to enjoy it.
11:41Ned Ferris's small gathering has come together, with just enough chairs and no speeches.
11:55Bev Tanner and Truman Beaumont have cleared the air over a quiet chat.

14:00A kite is stuck in the big park tree. A committee is forming.
16:00Nothing whatsoever is happening in Seahaven Springs. Opal Ferris appears to be enjoying it.
16:00Perry Gorse reached Truman Beaumont first and called the fallen lamp a bit of aircraft. Truman Beaumont accepted this.
16:00The radio in Truman Beaumont's kitchen has been persuaded to play his favourite song. He is singing along, badly.
17:00Sunday supper is drawing the town toward The Salty Gull.
17:00An unclaimed umbrella has been standing by the café door for three days.
18:00The sun breaks through over Seahaven Springs, precisely on cue.
19:00The tide is out further than usual. Gil Ferris has gone to look at what it left behind.
