Day 5200
Day 5200 in Seahaven Springs, under sunny skies. Ike Tidewater has been released from the Sheriff's office with a stern word and a handshake. Gil Ferris is in Seahaven General after they lost a disagreement with a deckchair on the promenade. Posy Gorse was born to Edie Gorse and Ewan Callahan. Nothing bad ever happens here — but something is always going on. Whose Ladder Is This takes a turn. Goodnight, Truman. In case we don't see you: good afternoon, good evening, and goodnight.
OPEN THIS DAY IN THE BROADCASTWhat was announced
00:00Ike Tidewater has been released from the Sheriff's office with a stern word and a handshake.
03:00The traveling garden gnome has been spotted on a new porch. Nobody admits to moving it.
06:47Cole Whitlow is telling the same story again, now with improved weather.
07:00The sun breaks through over Seahaven Springs, precisely on cue.
09:00There is one more chair at The Anchor than there was yesterday. Rex has not mentioned it.
10:00Saturday orchard morning is under way. Opinions about ladders are plentiful.
10:00Clouds drift in over the bay. The fishermen pretend not to enjoy it.
10:39Truman Beaumont borrows it for something brief. It does not come back briefly.
11:55Milo Ferris has got good enough at practising stories worth telling to be quietly smug about it.
12:00Rain has begun over Seahaven Springs. Umbrellas deployed with suspicious synchronization.
13:00The rain has cleared. A rainbow appeared at a frankly cinematic angle.
14:00Nothing whatsoever is happening in Seahaven Springs. Flo Ferris appears to be enjoying it.
14:56Dell Tanner and Ike Tidewater have cleared the air over a quiet chat.
14:56Ike Tidewater and Dell Tanner have cleared the air over a quiet chat.
15:56Abel Callahan and Flo Ferris kept their word and finished what they started.
18:00Elaine Whitlow is in a staring contest with a gull on the dock. The gull is winning.
18:00Gil Ferris lost a disagreement with a deckchair on the promenade and is spending a few days in Seahaven General.
18:26One small Seahaven question is settled, and Lark Ferris is already eyeing another.
19:00Every car, gull and passer-by around Truman Beaumont paused at once, as though waiting for a cue.
20:00An unclaimed umbrella has been standing by the café door for three days.
21:00The light over Seahaven Springs this evening is almost unreasonably good.
21:47Hal Brody has explained the tides three times, differently each time.
22:00Faint harmonica music was heard from the dock. Everybody denies everything.
22:00Milo Ferris has thanked every chair in The Anchor for its service.
22:02Abel Callahan is describing a fish that grows between each telling.
22:09Wren Gorse is conducting an imaginary orchestra near the dartboard.
22:12Somebody behind the bar has quietly moved Cass Tanner onto the water. Cass Tanner has not noticed.
22:26Silas Tidewater is conducting an imaginary orchestra near the dartboard.
22:41Ike Tidewater offered to buy the room a drink, then checked a pocket.
