Day 5210
Day 5210 in Seahaven Springs, under cloudy skies. Commotion at The Anchor! Ike Tidewater and Edie Gorse came to (very gentle) blows over a difference of opinion regarding the jukebox. Edie Gorse is not currently speaking to Ike Tidewater. Edie Gorse is cooling off in the Sheriff's holding cell after the business at The Anchor. Nothing bad ever happens here — but something is always going on. The Sea Glass Season runs into trouble. Goodnight, Truman. In case we don't see you: good afternoon, good evening, and goodnight.
OPEN THIS DAY IN THE BROADCASTWhat was announced
00:00The glut is over. Seahaven Springs will be eating crumble until further notice.
07:00The lights of Seahaven Springs flickered for exactly three seconds. The town clock is unbothered.
09:00Fog has come in off the bay and stopped, very precisely, at the edge of town.
09:00Truman Beaumont's radio caught the control room again. Dell Tanner turned the dial and talked loudly about the weather.
09:29Ike Tidewater has an answer, of a sort, and has decided it will do.
11:00Rain has begun over Seahaven Springs. Umbrellas deployed with suspicious synchronization.
12:00The rain has cleared. A rainbow appeared at a frankly cinematic angle.
12:08The tide has brought up sea glass along the whole beach and the town has noticed.
13:00The tide is out further than usual. Kip Doyle has gone to look at what it left behind.
14:00A seagull has stolen Kip Doyle's sandwich near the dock. Again.
14:26Whatever Bev Tanner and Milo Ferris were circling, they have landed on it.
15:00The Town Hall clock and the bakery clock disagree by two minutes. Both are certain.
16:00The community orchard is in blossom and briefly the best place in town.
18:00Clouds drift in over the bay. The fishermen pretend not to enjoy it.
18:44Iris Brody and Marla Finch no longer need a reason to call round.
18:49Whatever Fern Gorse and Opal Ferris were circling, they have landed on it.
18:49Opal Ferris has turned learning the orchard properly into a real part of life.
20:00The light over Seahaven Springs this evening is almost unreasonably good.
21:47Hattie Whitlow has thanked every chair in The Anchor for its service.
21:59There were not enough plates at Perry Gorse's, and nobody minded.
22:00Edie Gorse has declared this the finest town in the world. Twice.
22:15Iris Brody is describing a fish that grows between each telling.
22:21The Anchor's piano is being played by Mabel Tidewater, who cannot play piano.
22:31Milo Ferris has reached the storytelling stage at The Anchor.
22:34Fern Gorse is conducting an imaginary orchestra near the dartboard.
23:00Commotion at The Anchor! Ike Tidewater and Edie Gorse came to (very gentle) blows over a difference of opinion regarding the jukebox.
23:00Sheriff Brody has invited Edie Gorse to spend the night in the cells. Everyone agrees this is for the best.
