Day 5260
Day 5260 in Seahaven Springs, under sunny skies. The town clock has stopped at twenty past four. Nobody can agree on when it happened, which is itself a problem of some irony. Fog has come in off the bay and stopped, very precisely, at the edge of town. Iris Brody is not currently speaking to Alma Callahan. Nothing bad ever happens here — but something is always going on. The Barrel Of Vinegar Delivery reaches its conclusion. Goodnight, Truman. In case we don't see you: good afternoon, good evening, and goodnight.
