Day 5291
Day 5291 in Seahaven Springs, under sunny skies. Jonah Ferris is in a staring contest with a gull on the dock. The gull is winning. Whatever Linus Tidewater and Bea Callahan were circling, they have landed on it. Bev Tanner is not currently speaking to Rex Callahan. Nothing bad ever happens here — but something is always going on. The Box Of Left Boots Delivery runs into trouble. Goodnight, Truman. In case we don't see you: good afternoon, good evening, and goodnight.

08:00Rain has begun over Seahaven Springs. Umbrellas deployed with suspicious synchronization.
09:00The rain has cleared. A rainbow appeared at a frankly cinematic angle.
10:00Saturday orchard morning is under way. Opinions about ladders are plentiful.
10:00A form has been filed correctly at the first attempt. Town Hall is quietly jubilant.
12:00The orchard is loud with bees. Nobody has been stung in living memory.
12:20A box of left boots has arrived in Seahaven Springs addressed to nobody in particular.
13:00Jonah Ferris is in a staring contest with a gull on the dock. The gull is winning.

15:00Bev Tanner called Truman Beaumont by the wrong name mid-sentence, then laughed a little too quickly.
15:00The radio in Truman Beaumont's kitchen has been persuaded to play his favourite song. He is singing along, badly.
17:00The community orchard is in blossom and briefly the best place in town.
18:00Every car, gull and passer-by around Truman Beaumont paused at once, as though waiting for a cue.
18:31Whatever Ike Tidewater and Sal Marino were circling, they have landed on it.
19:00The tide is out further than usual. Alma Callahan has gone to look at what it left behind.
