Day 5309
Day 5309 in Seahaven Springs, under rainy skies. Bev Tanner has come down with a cough with genuine ambition and is being kept in for observation. The lights of Seahaven Springs flickered for exactly three seconds. The town clock is unbothered. Jonah Ferris is in a staring contest with a gull on the dock. The gull is winning. Nothing bad ever happens here — but something is always going on. Everybody, Slightly Left runs into trouble. Goodnight, Truman. In case we don't see you: good afternoon, good evening, and goodnight.
