Day 5338
Day 5338 in Seahaven Springs, under cloudy skies. A lighthouse postcard has been added to today's mail. Truman Beaumont collects them, and Control knows it. Fern Gorse and Opal Ferris have stopped leaving their friendship to chance. A heron has taken up position at Miller's Pond and is refusing to be hurried. Nothing bad ever happens here — but something is always going on. Goodnight, Truman. In case we don't see you: good afternoon, good evening, and goodnight.
