Day 5388
Day 5388 in Seahaven Springs, under cloudy skies. The gift-giver is revealed to be the least suspected resident, who is thanked with a modest ceremony. The Town Hall clock and the bakery clock disagree by two minutes. Both are certain. Elaine Whitlow and Marla Finch have stopped leaving their friendship to chance. Nothing bad ever happens here — but something is always going on. Goodnight, Truman. In case we don't see you: good afternoon, good evening, and goodnight.
