Day 5489
Day 5489 in Seahaven Springs, under sunny skies. Gil Ferris has been discharged from Seahaven General and is right as rain. The lights of Seahaven Springs flickered for exactly three seconds. The town clock is unbothered. Nell Tidewater and Mabel Tidewater no longer need a reason to call round. Nothing bad ever happens here — but something is always going on. Goodnight, Truman. In case we don't see you: good afternoon, good evening, and goodnight.
