Day 5516
Day 5516 in Seahaven Springs, under sunny skies. An unclaimed umbrella has been standing by the café door for three days. Fog has come in off the bay and stopped, very precisely, at the edge of town. Mabel Tidewater has explained the tides three times, differently each time. Nothing bad ever happens here — but something is always going on. Word of an Inspection begins. Goodnight, Truman. In case we don't see you: good afternoon, good evening, and goodnight.
