Day 5768
Day 5768 in Seahaven Springs, under sunny skies. The tide is out further than usual. someone has gone to look at what it left behind. The queue at the bakery has reached the door. Nobody minds; it is that kind of queue. The orchard is loud with bees. Nobody has been stung in living memory. Nothing bad ever happens here — but something is always going on. The Shortcut runs into trouble. Goodnight, Truman. In case we don't see you: good afternoon, good evening, and goodnight.
