Day 5790
Day 5790 in Seahaven Springs, under sunny skies. The gift-giver is revealed to be the least suspected resident, who is thanked with a modest ceremony. The orchard has produced more than anybody knows what to do with. There are apples on doorsteps, unasked for and unavoidable. Word has gone round the kitchens: Truman Beaumont is to be given his favourite, and no bill. Nothing bad ever happens here — but something is always going on. Goodnight, Truman. In case we don't see you: good afternoon, good evening, and goodnight.
