Day 5793
Day 5793 in Seahaven Springs, under rainy skies. Perry Gorse has been discharged from Seahaven General and is right as rain. The glut is over. Seahaven Springs will be eating crumble until further notice. Kip Doyle has an answer, of a sort, and has decided it will do. Nothing bad ever happens here — but something is always going on. A Visitor Is Expected reaches its conclusion. Goodnight, Truman. In case we don't see you: good afternoon, good evening, and goodnight.

00:00Perry Gorse has been discharged from Seahaven General and is right as rain.
00:00The glut is over. Seahaven Springs will be eating crumble until further notice.
05:00The rain has cleared. A rainbow appeared at a frankly cinematic angle.
06:53Kip Doyle has an answer, of a sort, and has decided it will do.
07:00The queue at the bakery has reached the door. Nobody minds; it is that kind of queue.
07:24Whatever Wren Gorse and Edie Gorse were circling, they have landed on it.
08:18Lark Ferris has kept at sketching the shoreline long enough that the town expects it now.
09:00The lights of Seahaven Springs flickered for exactly three seconds. The town clock is unbothered.
09:54Perry Gorse has finally had everyone round. Nobody left early.
10:00Hattie Whitlow has received a postcard from somewhere far away. The handwriting is unfamiliar.
10:42Sal Marino has closed the notebook on one small Seahaven mystery, satisfied for now.
11:00The photocopier at Seahaven Mutual is making the noise again. Mabel Tidewater has been elected to deal with it.
13:00Somebody has been sent to need Truman Beaumont urgently, and to reach him before he asks anyone about a boat.
13:00The radio in Truman Beaumont's kitchen has been persuaded to play his favourite song. He is singing along, badly.
14:43The town waits. The road stays exactly as empty as it has always been.
17:00A hedge has been trimmed one inch past a boundary. Diplomacy is under way.
19:00Clouds drift in over the bay. The fishermen pretend not to enjoy it.
19:49Truman Beaumont and Hattie Whitlow kept their word and finished what they started.
21:00It is warm enough to sit outside. Half the town has done exactly that.
22:00Rain has begun over Seahaven Springs. Umbrellas deployed with suspicious synchronization.
22:03Dell Tanner has sworn undying friendship to somebody met twenty minutes ago.
22:07Hattie Whitlow is explaining boats to anyone who will listen down at The Anchor.
