Day 5804
Day 5804 in Seahaven Springs, under cloudy skies. Hal Brody is in a staring contest with a gull on the dock. The gull is winning. Milo Ferris is not currently speaking to Bram Tidewater. Bram Tidewater is cooling off in the Sheriff's holding cell after the business at The Anchor. Nothing bad ever happens here — but something is always going on. A Wager on the Weather runs into trouble. Goodnight, Truman. In case we don't see you: good afternoon, good evening, and goodnight.
OPEN THIS DAY IN THE BROADCASTWhat was announced
00:00A quantity of paperwork has appeared on Truman Beaumont's desk. Bev has been briefed to keep him at it.
07:00Fog has come in off the bay and stopped, very precisely, at the edge of town.
07:43Whatever Cass Tanner and Bev Tanner were circling, they have landed on it.
09:00The morning mail has arrived. Jonah Ferris received a mysterious postcard.
11:00Linus Tidewater has arrived at the store without the list. This has happened before.
11:22Bea Callahan bets Dell Tanner that tomorrow will be glorious. The stakes are one coffee.
12:00Sal Marino has received a postcard from somewhere far away. The handwriting is unfamiliar.
13:00The sun breaks through over Seahaven Springs, precisely on cue.
13:29Hal Brody and Hattie Whitlow have cleared the air over a quiet chat.

14:00Hal Brody is in a staring contest with a gull on the dock. The gull is winning.
15:00Rain has begun over Seahaven Springs. Umbrellas deployed with suspicious synchronization.
16:00The rain has cleared. A rainbow appeared at a frankly cinematic angle.
17:00A hedge has been trimmed one inch past a boundary. Diplomacy is under way.
17:00Truman Beaumont has taken the seat by the window with a view of the whole room. He does not usually.
18:00The tide is out further than usual. Bram Tidewater has gone to look at what it left behind.
18:32Fern Gorse and Jonah Ferris have got into the habit of each other.
19:00Clouds drift in over the bay. The fishermen pretend not to enjoy it.
19:27Truman Beaumont and Hattie Whitlow kept their word and finished what they started.
21:00It is warm enough to sit outside. Half the town has done exactly that.
21:56Milo Ferris has begun a heartfelt speech with no clear subject.
22:01Jonah Ferris has explained the tides three times, differently each time.
22:08Bram Tidewater has reached the storytelling stage at The Anchor.
22:10Flo Ferris has sworn undying friendship to somebody met twenty minutes ago.
22:13Mabel Tidewater has declared this the finest town in the world. Twice.
23:00Commotion at The Anchor! Milo Ferris and Bram Tidewater came to (very gentle) blows over a disagreement over who really caught the biggest fish.
23:00Sheriff Brody has invited Bram Tidewater to spend the night in the cells. Everyone agrees this is for the best.
