Day 5806
Day 5806 in Seahaven Springs, under rainy skies. Bram Tidewater has been released from the Sheriff's office with a stern word and a handshake. Jonah Ferris is not currently speaking to Posy Gorse. Posy Gorse is cooling off in the Sheriff's holding cell after the business at The Anchor. Nothing bad ever happens here — but something is always going on. A Wager on the Weather takes a turn. Goodnight, Truman. In case we don't see you: good afternoon, good evening, and goodnight.
OPEN THIS DAY IN THE BROADCASTWhat was announced
00:00Bram Tidewater has been released from the Sheriff's office with a stern word and a handshake.
00:00The radio in Truman Beaumont's kitchen has been persuaded to play his favourite song. He is singing along, badly.
06:51Dot Ferris has closed the notebook on one small Seahaven mystery, satisfied for now.
07:00The tide is out further than usual. Dot Ferris has gone to look at what it left behind.
07:27Wren Gorse is not brilliant at practising stories worth telling, and is no longer pretending to be. It stuck anyway.
08:00Clouds drift in over the bay. The fishermen pretend not to enjoy it.
09:00The orchard is loud with bees. Nobody has been stung in living memory.
11:51Sal Marino has kept at keeping a notebook about the pond long enough that the town expects it now.
12:00It is Wednesday lunch in Founders Park. Benches are being claimed diplomatically.
12:55Perry Gorse has hosted the thing they kept meaning to host.
13:32Bev Tanner and Milo Ferris have stopped leaving their friendship to chance.
14:00Perry Gorse fumbled Truman Beaumont's name and recovered it smoothly. Nobody breathed.
15:00The Town Hall clock and the bakery clock disagree by two minutes. Both are certain.
16:00Rain has begun over Seahaven Springs. Umbrellas deployed with suspicious synchronization.
17:00The puddle outside the Sunrise Café has returned to its usual dimensions.
20:39Truman Beaumont and Hattie Whitlow kept their word and finished what they started.
21:00An unclaimed umbrella has been standing by the café door for three days.
21:53Dell Tanner is teaching the room a song that appears to have no chorus.
22:10Bea Callahan has begun a heartfelt speech with no clear subject.
22:39Ned Ferris has sworn undying friendship to somebody met twenty minutes ago.
23:00Commotion at The Anchor! Jonah Ferris and Posy Gorse came to (very gentle) blows over a disagreement over who really caught the biggest fish.
23:00Sheriff Brody has invited Posy Gorse to spend the night in the cells. Everyone agrees this is for the best.
