Day 5844
Day 5844 in Seahaven Springs, under rainy skies. Truman Beaumont has come down with a bout of something going round the orchard and is being kept in for observation. Bram Tidewater is not currently speaking to Flo Ferris. Perry Gorse is not currently speaking to Ike Tidewater. Nothing bad ever happens here — but something is always going on. Talent Night at The Anchor reaches its conclusion. Goodnight, Truman. In case we don't see you: good afternoon, good evening, and goodnight.

02Whatever Dot Ferris and Kip Doyle were circling, they have landed on it.
00Three separate neighbours greeted Truman Beaumont with the identical sentence this morning.
00Saturday orchard morning is under way. Opinions about ladders are plentiful.
00The community orchard is in blossom and briefly the best place in town.
00The town ladder is on its fourth borrower this week and nobody is sure who owns it.
00The tide is out further than usual. Opal Ferris has gone to look at what it left behind.
32The acts are performed. Several are genuinely good, which surprises everyone.
00Nothing whatsoever is happening in Seahaven Springs. Flo Ferris appears to be enjoying it.
00The town cat is asleep on the Town Hall steps. Municipal business reroutes around it.
00The sun breaks through over Seahaven Springs, precisely on cue.
00Truman Beaumont has come down with a bout of something going round the orchard and is being kept in for observation.
22Nell Tidewater and Hal Brody kept their word and finished what they started.
00Rain has begun over Seahaven Springs. Umbrellas deployed with suspicious synchronization.
00Someone is practising the same eight bars of piano again. The town has grown fond of them.
51Dell Tanner and Mabel Tidewater no longer need a reason to call round.
00The rain has driven everyone indoors, and the café is doing the best trade of the week.
52Flo Ferris has ordered one for the road and then forgotten which road.
15Edie Gorse has become extremely confident about lighthouse engineering.
15Posy Gorse is conducting an imaginary orchestra near the dartboard.
00Commotion at The Anchor! Bram Tidewater and Flo Ferris came to (very gentle) blows over a heated debate over the last pickled egg.
