Day 5897
Day 5897 in Seahaven Springs, under sunny skies. Fog has come in off the bay and stopped, very precisely, at the edge of town. Kip Doyle has got good enough at learning the orchard properly to be quietly smug about it. Dell Tanner has hosted the thing they kept meaning to host. Nothing bad ever happens here — but something is always going on. The Harbour Blue Question takes a turn. Goodnight, Truman. In case we don't see you: good afternoon, good evening, and goodnight.

10:00The sun breaks through over Seahaven Springs, precisely on cue.
11:00The orchard is loud with bees. Nobody has been stung in living memory.
12:00It is Wednesday lunch in Founders Park. Benches are being claimed diplomatically.
12:35Truman Beaumont is strongly in favour. Bram Tidewater would like to see it in daylight.
15:00The community orchard is in blossom and briefly the best place in town.
16:00Clouds drift in over the bay. The fishermen pretend not to enjoy it.
18:00Rain has begun over Seahaven Springs. Umbrellas deployed with suspicious synchronization.
19:00The rain has cleared. A rainbow appeared at a frankly cinematic angle.
20:00The light over Seahaven Springs this evening is almost unreasonably good.
20:39Abel Callahan and Lark Ferris kept their word and finished what they started.
21:00It is warm enough to sit outside. Half the town has done exactly that.

21:00A lighthouse postcard has been added to today's mail. Truman Beaumont collects them, and Control knows it.

21:53Hattie Whitlow has begun issuing compliments in alphabetical order.
