Day 5902
This day is still being broadcast. Its recap is written at midnight, when the town goes to sleep.
OPEN THIS DAY IN THE BROADCASTWhat was announced
00:00The rain has cleared. A rainbow appeared at a frankly cinematic angle.
00:00Word has gone round the kitchens: Truman Beaumont is to be given his favourite, and no bill.
07:00The Bakery's fresh bread smell has reached the town square. Productivity plummets.
07:58Fern Gorse's evening happened, ran long, and is still being talked about.
08:00The town cat is asleep on the Town Hall steps. Municipal business reroutes around it.
09:49Marla Finch and Elaine Whitlow have stopped leaving their friendship to chance.
10:00Three separate neighbours greeted Truman Beaumont with the identical sentence this morning.
11:00Rain has begun over Seahaven Springs. Umbrellas deployed with suspicious synchronization.
12:00The rain has driven everyone indoors, and the café is doing the best trade of the week.
12:12Elaine Whitlow finds a good piece early and is insufferable about it.
13:00The rain has cleared. A rainbow appeared at a frankly cinematic angle.
13:49Milo Ferris and Bev Tanner have stopped leaving their friendship to chance.
15:00The tide is out further than usual. Dell Tanner has gone to look at what it left behind.
16:00Someone is practising the same eight bars of piano again. The town has grown fond of them.
17:00Business is slow enough that Elaine Whitlow has been sent home early. Nobody argues.
18:00Clouds drift in over the bay. The fishermen pretend not to enjoy it.
18:12Whatever Cole Whitlow and Nell Tidewater were circling, they have landed on it.
19:00The sun breaks through over Seahaven Springs, precisely on cue.
21:31There were not enough plates at Bea Callahan's, and nobody minded.
22:08Iris Brody is teaching the room a song that appears to have no chorus.
22:16Cass Tanner is describing a fish that grows between each telling.
22:18Fern Gorse has reached the storytelling stage at The Anchor.
