Day 5922
Day 5922 in Seahaven Springs, under sunny skies. Lark Ferris is in a staring contest with a gull on the dock. The gull is winning. The Town Hall clock and the bakery clock disagree by two minutes. Both are certain. Marla Finch and Elaine Whitlow no longer need a reason to call round. Nothing bad ever happens here — but something is always going on. A Wager on the Weather reaches its conclusion. Goodnight, Truman. In case we don't see you: good afternoon, good evening, and goodnight.
