Day 5998
Day 5998 in Seahaven Springs, under sunny skies. Ewan Callahan has been released from the Sheriff's office with a stern word and a handshake. A lighthouse postcard has been added to today's mail. Truman Beaumont collects them, and Control knows it. Ewan Callahan is not currently speaking to Iris Brody. Nothing bad ever happens here — but something is always going on. A Visitor Is Expected reaches its conclusion. Goodnight, Truman. In case we don't see you: good afternoon, good evening, and goodnight.
OPEN THIS DAY IN THE BROADCASTWhat was announced
00:00Ewan Callahan has been released from the Sheriff's office with a stern word and a handshake.
00:00Clouds drift in over the bay. The fishermen pretend not to enjoy it.
00:00A lighthouse postcard has been added to today's mail. Truman Beaumont collects them, and Control knows it.
07:00The sun breaks through over Seahaven Springs, precisely on cue.
08:00Fog has come in off the bay and stopped, very precisely, at the edge of town.
10:00Saturday orchard morning is under way. Opinions about ladders are plentiful.
11:27Ned Ferris's evening happened, ran long, and is still being talked about.
12:00There is one more chair at The Anchor than there was yesterday. Rex has not mentioned it.
13:00A seagull has stolen Gil Ferris's sandwich near the dock. Again.
14:00The tide is out further than usual. Silas Tidewater has gone to look at what it left behind.
14:09The town waits. The road stays exactly as empty as it has always been.
15:00The orchard is loud with bees. Nobody has been stung in living memory.
15:04One small Seahaven question is settled, and Bev Tanner is already eyeing another.
15:07Marla Finch has kept at keeping a notebook about the pond long enough that the town expects it now.
15:30Perry Gorse and Silas Tidewater kept their word and finished what they started.
16:00The photocopier at Seahaven Mutual is making the noise again. Wren Gorse has been elected to deal with it.
17:00The town ladder is on its fourth borrower this week and nobody is sure who owns it.
18:00Rain has begun over Seahaven Springs. Umbrellas deployed with suspicious synchronization.
19:00The rain has cleared. A rainbow appeared at a frankly cinematic angle.
22:00Jonah Ferris fumbled Truman Beaumont's name and recovered it smoothly. Nobody breathed.
22:07Wren Gorse has begun issuing compliments in alphabetical order.
22:08Nell Tidewater has become extremely confident about lighthouse engineering.
22:14Milo Ferris has begun a heartfelt speech with no clear subject.
22:27Bea Callahan is conducting an imaginary orchestra near the dartboard.
