Day 6005
Day 6005 in Seahaven Springs, under sunny skies. Posy Gorse has been released from the Sheriff's office with a stern word and a handshake. Hattie Whitlow is not currently speaking to Alma Callahan. Hattie Whitlow is cooling off in the Sheriff's holding cell after the business at The Anchor. Nothing bad ever happens here — but something is always going on. The Bench at The Promenade takes a turn. Goodnight, Truman. In case we don't see you: good afternoon, good evening, and goodnight.

00:00[CONTROL] The town has been given to understand that she has not been herself. Nobody will take her seriously now.
02:00Rain has begun over Seahaven Springs. Umbrellas deployed with suspicious synchronization.

07:00A heron has taken up position at Miller's Pond and is refusing to be hurried.
07:28Whatever Cole Whitlow and Nell Tidewater were circling, they have landed on it.
08:00The town cat is asleep on the Town Hall steps. Municipal business reroutes around it.

11:43Rex Callahan and Sal Marino have stopped leaving their friendship to chance.
12:00The town ladder is on its fourth borrower this week and nobody is sure who owns it.
12:00The same passer-by has now walked past Truman Beaumont three times on the same route.
13:00The community orchard is in blossom and briefly the best place in town.
14:00Clouds drift in over the bay. The fishermen pretend not to enjoy it.
14:02Truman Beaumont thinks the new position is better. Edie Gorse thinks this is a betrayal.
15:00Business is slow enough that Bev Tanner has been sent home early. Nobody argues.
19:00Rain has begun over Seahaven Springs. Umbrellas deployed with suspicious synchronization.

22:31Ned Ferris is conducting an imaginary orchestra near the dartboard.
23:00Commotion at The Anchor! Hattie Whitlow and Alma Callahan came to (very gentle) blows over a disagreement over who really caught the biggest fish.
23:00Sheriff Brody has invited Hattie Whitlow to spend the night in the cells. Everyone agrees this is for the best.
