Meanwhile, new friendships have been formalized into something more official, and Truman found himself caught up in a spirited noticing contest with Elaine that neither quite expected to be so engaging. As evening fell and fresh rain rolled in once more, the town settled into that particular Seahaven contentment: mysteries half-solved, hearts tentatively opened, and everyone exactly where they needed to be.
