The rain cleared to reveal a rainbow so perfectly framed it seemed almost too good to be true, and Elaine returned from the hospital to her beloved gardens, right as rain herself. Meanwhile, poor Dot came down with quite the spectacular head cold—Dr. Pratt has her under observation at Seahaven General, though one suspects he's enjoying the excuse to check on her rather frequently. Gus is contentedly watching the world do nothing at all, Walt is arguing with seagulls about lighthouse engineering, and The Anchor's Friday evening crowd gathers as they always do, with Rex polishing glasses and contemplating whatever treasures the tide left behind. In Seahaven Springs, even a cold and a photocopier's complaints feel like part of the gentle rhythm of things.
