Day 971

What a Friday evening in Seahaven Springs! A spirited disagreement over the jukebox between our earnest Truman and the visiting Lark Ferris escalated just enough to land the latter in Sheriff Brody's holding cell—though everyone agrees it was all in good spirits, and Hal's already got the coffee brewing. The warm night drew half the town outside, where Fern Gorse held court with stories at The Anchor, Bev Tanner worked through something heartfelt and mysterious, and Rex polished his good glasses with the satisfied air of a man who'd witnessed excellent drama. Tomorrow, no doubt, cooler heads and warmer handshakes will prevail.
