Day 1468
What a day in Seahaven Springs! A mysterious garden gnome continues its wandering pilgrimage, the town's two clocks have begun their weekly argument, and somewhere a kite waves lonely in the park tree while a committee debates its rescue. The weather put on quite a show—fog, rain, and a rainbow so perfectly timed the producers themselves seemed to approve—and everyone ended up at The Anchor by evening, where Rex is dusting off his favorite nautical tale (with improved theatrical conditions) and Linus is teaching a song nobody quite understands. Truman, bless him, tried to reason with the photocopier this morning and lost; meanwhile, Bev apologized to him for something neither of them can quite remember. It's the sort of gentle, bewildering Friday night that only Seahaven Springs can offer—full of small mysteries and smaller kindnesses, and nobody's quite sure what the town ladder is doing or who the gnome belongs to, but somehow that feels just right.
