Day 1575
What a day it's been in Seahaven Springs — the bay rolled back its sleeves to show us what it's been keeping, umbrellas bloomed like flowers when the rain came, and by evening the whole town found itself drawn toward Sal's table, drawn by warmth and the simple understanding that Sunday supper waits for no one. Somewhere between the morning's mysterious postcard and the evening's gentle gathering, something shifted: Milo and Bev have stopped leaving things to chance, Truman and Ewan made good on a promise, and there's an unclaimed umbrella by the café door that's starting to feel like it belongs to the town itself. Tomorrow, someone will claim it—or someone won't—but tonight, Seahaven Springs is full, and that's enough.
OPEN THIS DAY IN THE BROADCASTWhat was announced
00Clouds drift in over the bay. The fishermen pretend not to enjoy it.
00Fog has come in off the bay and stopped, very precisely, at the edge of town.
00The sun breaks through over Seahaven Springs, precisely on cue.
00The morning mail has arrived. Marla Finch received a mysterious postcard.
00The tide is out further than usual. Hal Brody has gone to look at what it left behind.
47The town waits. The road stays exactly as empty as it has always been.
00Rain has begun over Seahaven Springs. Umbrellas deployed with suspicious synchronization.
10Milo Ferris and Bev Tanner have stopped leaving their friendship to chance.
09Truman Beaumont and Ewan Callahan kept their word and finished what they started.
00The rain has cleared. A rainbow appeared at a frankly cinematic angle.
28Ewan Callahan's small gathering has come together, with just enough chairs and no speeches.
00Sunday supper is drawing the town toward The Salty Gull.
00Business is slow enough that Jonah Ferris has been sent home early. Nobody argues.
00An unclaimed umbrella has been standing by the café door for three days.
00Someone is practising the same eight bars of piano again. The town has grown fond of them.
00Faint harmonica music was heard from the dock. Everybody denies everything.
