The rain brought rainbows, the orchard brought bees, and the afternoon brought one of those wonderfully ridiculous disputes that reminds us why this little town matters — Bram and Iris came to gentle blows over a pickled egg, naturally, and now Iris is spending the night in Sheriff Brody's holding cell, which everyone agrees is exactly the sort of quiet place she needs. Meanwhile, Fern Gorse is resting comfortably at Seahaven General after her tussle with an uncooperative deckchair, Truman wrestled with the photocopier, and somewhere on the dock, a seagull won a staring contest with Marla. Tonight, the town settles in warm and full, knowing that tomorrow will bring its own small mysteries — but for now, Seahaven Springs has done what it does best: turned an ordinary Wednesday into something worth remembering.
