Day 1579

Day 1579 brought the kind of gentle choreography that only Seahaven Springs can muster: fog halting at town's edge like an obedient guest, the tide revealing mysteries for curious eyes, and even the seagulls cooperating with their time-honored theft of Bev's lunch. Hal and Bev have decided friendship is too good a thing to leave to chance, as have Edie and Ewan, while Truman—precious soul that he is—received a book of postcards and declared it practically a world tour. By evening, with rain and rainbows and fishermen pretending not to admire the clouds, Seahaven Springs settled into another perfect day of small, sweet nothing-much, and everybody loved it.
