What a day in Seahaven Springs! The rain came and went with perfect timing, leaving behind a rainbow that seemed almost staged—though of course nothing in our little town ever is. The real magic, though, was watching Kip and Dot finally stop dancing around each other and simply sit together for an hour, quiet and content; by evening they'd kept their word and finished what they'd started, whatever that means. Meanwhile, Truman spent the day singing off-key in his kitchen, consulting maps instead of postcards, and thanking chairs at The Anchor with the earnest gratitude only Truman can muster. As the sun broke through one last time and the town settled into evening, even the piano—being played by someone who clearly has no business playing it—couldn't spoil the warm, slightly ridiculous perfection of another day in our beloved Seahaven Springs.
