Day 1582
What a day it was in Seahaven Springs—full of small reconciliations and quiet mysteries gently resolved. The traveling garden gnome made another appearance on a new porch, the dock's visitor turned out to be nothing more magical than a postcard, and somewhere in town someone keeps playing those same eight bars of piano, which the town has grown rather fond of hearing. As the sun set over a rainbow that seemed almost too perfectly placed, neighbors gathered toward The Salty Gull for Sunday supper, and Truman—who'd spent the morning being told by three separate people that home is the best place to be—was reminded once again why he never quite leaves. In Seahaven Springs, the mysteries solve themselves, the rain clears on schedule, and even a heron refusing to budge from Miller's Pond feels like exactly the way things ought to be.
