Day 1587
What a day in Seahaven Springs! The rain brought the town indoors where umbrellas dried by doorways and the café filled with contented chatter, while outside a traveling garden gnome continued its mysterious journey from porch to porch. A small disagreement bloomed on the noticeboard—two notices, same subject, different opinions—and a kite found itself tangled high in the park tree, already sparking talk of a rescue committee. By evening, as the rain cleared and a rainbow painted itself across the sky in almost impossible perfection, The Anchor filled with the warmth of Friday night: Rex polishing glasses, Opal giving the piano her best efforts, Cole attempting to teach a chorus-less song, and the chairs—now formally thanked for their service—holding everyone safe and close. It was the kind of night that reminds you why small towns matter: nothing terrible happened, but everything felt like something.
