Day 1586

What a day in Seahaven Springs! Elaine gathered the town for a small, perfect gathering, and even mended fences—quite literally, after a certain hedge trimmed one inch too far. The afternoon brought rain, then a rainbow worthy of the postcards Truman collects, though a visitor's arrival was postponed and the welcoming committee made short work of the cake regardless. By evening, The Anchor was in full swing: Ewan played piano with admirable confidence if questionable skill, Bram reached his storytelling peak, and Edie Gorse and Bea Callahan disagreed so thoroughly about how to pronounce "buoy" that Sheriff Brody kindly offered Edie the holding cell as a place to cool off. Through it all, seagulls stole sandwiches, tides were explained three different ways, and life hummed along in Seahaven Springs—messy, warm, and exactly as it should be.
