Day 1632
What a day in Seahaven Springs! The heat finally broke, and the town agreed—quite collectively—that it had been pleasant all along. Bees hummed through the orchard blossoms, plums piled high enough to inspire Kip's jam-making afternoon, and even the traveling garden gnome found a new porch to call home, though nobody's saying whose. Truman spent a lovely evening with Elaine in the park, and later sang (badly, bless him) along to his favorite song in the kitchen, unaware that the whole town was quietly humming the same tune. As evening fell and the light turned unreasonably good, The Anchor filled with the usual gentle chaos—Rex polishing glasses with purpose, Fern attempting the piano, and Orson having strong opinions about the dartboard—while somewhere in town, a new father named Milo was probably still in shock over little Wilf. Tomorrow the plum jam will be ready, and Seahaven Springs will have already moved on to the next small, perfect thing.
