What a day in Seahaven Springs! Elaine came home from the hospital to find the whole town had missed her, Marla and Elaine finished their fair work together, and when the rain came down hard, it seemed to drive everyone straight to Marla's café for the kind of warmth only soup and company can provide. By evening, with the rain cleared and a rainbow arcing over the bay, the town had settled into that contentment that follows a good shared meal—though nobody quite noticed how the passer-by had walked past Truman three times, or what that glint in the hedge might have been tracking. At The Anchor, Bea Callahan was cheerfully murdering a piano, Jonah was conducting invisible symphonies, and the tide had gone out far enough to reveal whatever mysteries it keeps. Tomorrow, someone will ask Abel what he found down there.
