Day 1703

What a day Seahaven Springs has had! Rain came and went like a visiting friend, leaving behind a rainbow so perfect it seemed almost staged, and with it came small victories: Toby Tanner is home and healthy, a mystery garden gnome has wandered to yet another porch, and Truman and Elaine finished the project they'd started—two neighbors keeping their word on a rainy afternoon. The evening brought its own quiet magic: Kip lost a staring contest to a seagull (the gull remains undefeated), Iris Brody discovered what the tide had left behind and is now playing piano at The Anchor with the confidence of someone who has absolutely no idea what she's doing, and somewhere in all the laughter and boat talk, Kip and Dot left together arm in arm, grinning like opening night. Even the town's lights flickered for a breath, as if Seahaven Springs itself was catching its breath after a day well-lived.
