Day 1705

What a day it's been in our little seaside town—rain came and went with the kind of perfect timing only Seahaven Springs can manage, leaving behind a rainbow so lovely it made the fishermen pause mid-grumble. Truman collected a new lighthouse postcard in the mail, and somewhere a kite got itself properly stuck in the big park tree, setting off what promises to be the season's most earnest committee work. By evening, the light had settled into something almost unreasonably beautiful, and the town—umbrellas dried, bread smell still clinging to the square—settled in for the night, ready for whatever small tomorrow brings.
