Day 1764

What a day Seahaven Springs has had—the heat cracked the streets, the tide withdrew its secrets, and a gentle rain sent the whole town tumbling into the Sunrise Café like it was the last shelter on earth. Marla emerged from the sheriff's office with her dignity intact and Hal's blessing, while up at the hospital young Ewan settled in for observation and the town's old grudges quietly dissolved over quiet words. As evening fell and the rain cleared, a rainbow arced so perfectly over the rooftops that even the skeptics paused to look, and now half the town is settling into warm chairs under the stars, waiting for Sunday supper to begin. Truman, as always, found his way to Elaine's garden seeking answers, and somehow—as it always does—the town's small warmth answered back.
