Day 1872
Seahaven Springs moved through Wednesday with the gentle chaos of a town where a heron commands more respect than the mayor, bees hum louder than the traffic, and Bev Tanner still cannot remember to bring a list to the store. But as the day wound down, Truman Beaumont found himself tucked into Seahaven General with something going round the orchard—nothing serious, just enough to keep him still for once, while the rest of town drifted through rain and rainbows, mysterious harmonica notes from the dock, and Iris Brody's spirited assault on the piano at The Anchor. By nightfall, the lights had flickered, the clouds had rolled in over the bay like an old friend, and everything was exactly as it should be: a little unpredictable, entirely harmless, and wholly ours.
