Day 1873

What a day of healings and small wonders it was in Seahaven Springs! Truman and Kip emerged from Seahaven General with clean bills of health, ready to rejoin the life of the town they'd briefly stepped away from — and the town, as always, was waiting for them with open arms and perfectly timed weather. Through rain and sunshine both, the residents gathered and celebrated the simple fact of being together: a meal at Fern Gorse's where plates didn't matter, new friendships struck up as quickly and sincerely as lightning, and that traveling garden gnome continuing its mysterious journey from porch to porch, a little mystery with no villain at all. By day's end, with the weather turned warm and gentle, half the town had settled outside to watch the clouds drift peacefully over the bay — and that, really, was the whole story: Seahaven Springs at its warmest, doing what it does best, which is simply being home.
