Day 1874

What a day Seahaven Springs has given us! The fair bunting went up in Founders Park under the watchful eye of a very determined committee, and Truman's long-standing mystery of the creeping park finally found its gentle resolution—leaving our hero satisfied at last. But as the sun dipped low and the light turned unreasonably golden, The Anchor filled with Friday evening cheer that eventually tipped into chaos when Orson Ferris and Sheriff Hal Brody came to blows (very gentle ones) over the age-old question of who caught the biggest fish—a disagreement that ended with Orson spending a quiet night in the holding cell, and Hal issuing compliments in alphabetical order to everyone else, as if to apologize to the whole town. Tomorrow the tide will turn, the clocks will still disagree, and life in our little seaside town will go on, warm and odd and exactly as it should be.
