An old familiar face drifted through town in a borrowed coat, carrying years of distance, and somewhere in the soft afternoon, a heron settled at Miller's Pond as if it had nowhere else to be. By evening, the rain returned—gentler this time—and Seahaven Springs hummed along as it always does, full of small mysteries, trimmed hedges, unclaimed umbrellas, and the contented sense that nothing here is ever truly lost, only briefly misplaced.
