Day 1920 in Seahaven Springs, under rainy skies. The town clock has stopped at twenty past four. Nobody can agree on when it happened, which is itself a problem of some irony. Both seed loafs stay on the menu. Everyone claims this was their idea. Orson Ferris is not currently speaking to Rue Callahan. Nothing bad ever happens here — but something is always going on.
