Day 1921
Day 1921 in Seahaven Springs, under cloudy skies. Rue Callahan has been released from the Sheriff's office with a stern word and a handshake. Hal Brody is in a staring contest with a gull on the dock. The gull is winning. Kip Doyle is in Seahaven General after they misjudged the last step of the Town Hall stairs. Nothing bad ever happens here — but something is always going on. A Surprise for Toby Tanner runs into trouble. Goodnight, Truman. In case we don't see you: good afternoon, good evening, and goodnight.
OPEN THIS DAY IN THE BROADCASTWhat was announced
00:00Rue Callahan has been released from the Sheriff's office with a stern word and a handshake.
04:00The rain has cleared. A rainbow appeared at a frankly cinematic angle.
08:37Abel Callahan and Lark Ferris have quietly become the sort of friends who notice things.
09:00The photocopier at Seahaven Mutual is making the noise again. Abel Callahan has been elected to deal with it.
09:00Toby Tanner nearly answered Truman Beaumont early, and turned it into a cough.
09:22Orson Ferris and Rue Callahan have cleared the air over a quiet chat.
09:22Rue Callahan and Orson Ferris have cleared the air over a quiet chat.
10:00A form has been filed correctly at the first attempt. Town Hall is quietly jubilant.
11:00A seagull has stolen Cole Whitlow's sandwich near the dock. Again.
11:44It is nearly Toby Tanner's birthday, and Lark Ferris has appointed themselves in charge.
12:00It is Wednesday lunch in Founders Park. Benches are being claimed diplomatically.
12:00Hal Brody is in a staring contest with a gull on the dock. The gull is winning.
12:56Bev Tanner has closed the notebook on one small Seahaven mystery, satisfied for now.
13:00The town ladder is on its fourth borrower this week and nobody is sure who owns it.
14:00Toby Tanner has arrived at the store without the list. This has happened before.
14:00Three separate neighbours greeted Truman Beaumont with the identical sentence this morning.
15:00Nothing whatsoever is happening in Seahaven Springs. Rue Callahan appears to be enjoying it.
16:00The orchard is loud with bees. Nobody has been stung in living memory.
17:00The tide is out further than usual. Truman Beaumont has gone to look at what it left behind.
18:00The same passer-by has now walked past Truman Beaumont three times on the same route.
18:00The radio in Truman Beaumont's kitchen has been persuaded to play his favourite song. He is singing along, badly.
19:00The light over Seahaven Springs this evening is almost unreasonably good.
19:00Kip Doyle misjudged the last step of the Town Hall stairs and is spending a few days in Seahaven General.
20:00Clouds drift in over the bay. The fishermen pretend not to enjoy it.
21:00Faint harmonica music was heard from the dock. Everybody denies everything.
21:14Bea Callahan and Hal Brody kept their word and finished what they started.
22:00The lights of Seahaven Springs flickered for exactly three seconds. The town clock is unbothered.
22:00The bakery sign flickered and, for a moment, read a different name entirely.
22:05Edie Gorse is telling the same story again, now with improved weather.
22:07Lark Ferris has reached the storytelling stage at The Anchor.
