Day 1939
What a day it was in Seahaven Springs — rain came and went like a visiting friend, the puddles settled back into their familiar spots, and somewhere in town someone's been practicing those same eight piano bars so often that we've all started humming along. The real drama, of course, was Marla's staring contest with that gull down at the dock, and we think we know who won. By evening the clouds had drifted off, the sun broke through at just the right moment, and the whole town seemed drawn toward The Salty Gull like moths to a particularly well-seasoned flame. Nothing earth-shattering, nothing we haven't seen before — just another perfectly ordinary day in our little corner of the world, the kind that makes you grateful for rainbows and the promise of Sunday supper.
