What a day it was in Seahaven Springs — rainbows and raindrops, bread that stopped the world, and a seagull who bested Dr. Pratt's lunch once again. The town's small machines ticked along in their own time, a hedge caused gentle diplomacy, and somewhere near the dartboard, an imaginary orchestra played on. Nothing much happened, as usual, which is precisely why we love it here; and as Marla sat contentedly with her coffee, she seemed to know that sometimes the best days are the ones where everything simply is.
