Day 24
What a day in Seahaven Springs! Truman bounced back from Seahaven General with his usual cheerful stride, just in time to witness a rainbow so perfectly arced that even the cynical among us paused to admire it—though Gus Tidewater spent the whole affair pretending the weather was beneath his notice while humming softly at the dock. The town's mysteries kept everyone busy: a stapler vanished from Town Hall, the traveling garden gnome materialized on yet another unsuspecting porch, and a seagull made off with poor Norma's lunch again, as if on schedule. Most curious of all, Gus received a postcard in the morning mail that he's keeping very close to his chest, and the lights flickered for three whole seconds around teatime—though the clock didn't bat an eye. By evening, the rain had rolled back in, and Seahaven Springs settled into its gentle Wednesday rhythms, mysteries and all.

What was said
Morning, friends! Norma, you're looking spry today. Heard you gave that hospital bed a run for its money.★
Rex. Thought I'd find you down here before the evening crowd.★
Walt, I've been meaning to ask you something. You've always known how to handle things gracefully.★
Truman. Good. I was hoping to catch you here.
Sal. Caught you between services.
Oh, Bev. Didn't expect to see you here on a night like this.
Pearl, love. Thought I might find you in. Dreadful rain out there.
Rex. Got a minute? Wanted to thank you proper for the other day.
