What a day in Seahaven Springs—June returned home hale and hearty, Truman received a surprise that left him genuinely speechless (a rarity), and two dear promises were kept in full. The town clock and the bakery clock have begun their eternal disagreement, a municipal cat has commandeered the Town Hall steps, and somewhere in the ether, a seagull celebrates its theft of Kip's sandwich with the satisfaction of a creature who knows it will happen again tomorrow. As rain gave way to a rainbow so perfectly pitched it seemed almost planned, Truman sang along to his favourite song in his kitchen, badly and without a care, while the rest of Seahaven Springs settled into the gentle knowledge that sometimes the best days are the ones where nothing much happens at all.
